Information
All of our CMS applications (CMS CRM, CMS Stock etc) use the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) to enable communications with Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
MDAC is a package of database drivers and includes Microsoft's Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) and drivers for Access and SQL Server databases.
You do NOT require a copy of Microsoft Access or Microsoft Office to be installed on your machine to be able to use any of the CMS applications with Access databases.
MDAC is installed as a standard part of the operating system from Windows 2000 onwards, therefore, if you are running Windows 2000, XP or later, you do not need to install MDAC. However, if you are running Windows 95, 98, ME or NT4, you will need to install MDAC to be able to use our CMS applications.
MDAC is a freely distributable and is available from www.microsoft.com, however, we also supply it from the downloads page of our web site.
